Covid Exposure Forces New Mays Landing Restaurant to Close
Talk about tough timing! Freddy J's Bar & Kitchen in Mays Landing, open for business less than a month, was forced to close due to a recent Covid exposure.
The new eatery, opened by the Kneble family, owners of the long time Mays Landing business Kneble's Auto Service Center, held their grand opening on October 23. Monday they posted a Facebook message announcing their closure until further notice.
As we all are pushing through these unprecedented times, it is imperative we are honest to our beloved customers whom we consider family.
Unfortunately, due to a recent COVID- 19 exposure, we will be closed until further notice.
For the safety and health of our employees and customers, we are taking this time to follow CDC guidelines and thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the establishment.
Freddy J's Bar & Kitchen at 5698 Somers Point Road in Mays Landing, next to the family's auto repair business, is a new venture by adult Kneble children, with their daughter Stephanie in the role of general manager. The restaurant, features a menu of wings, salads, sandwiches and burgers.
Freddy J's website and Facebook page show photos of the newly remodeled and decorated restaurant preparing for business. What a shame they happened to open at one of the most challenging times for any new business, especially a bar. Hopefully Freddy J's Bar & Kitchen can hang on until life starts to return to normal.
