Cordelia Starts Shy, Warms into a Lap Cat – Pet of the Week
Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.
If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.
All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.
This week we met Cordelia the cat....
Here is some information on Cordelia from the Humane Society of Ocean City:
“Cordelia is about 4 years old and is a beautiful Torti/Calico cat. She
was a stray found living under a porch in Ocean City, taking shelter
as the colder fall weather started in. Cordelia has a reserved
personality and can often come across as shy or timid.
After establishing a relationship with her you will find that she truly
enjoys receiving attention and will sit in a lap for an extended
period of time. Cordelia's Ideal home would be a quiet one where she
can be the center of attention. Because of her more timid nature and
the fact she does not like to be picked up she would do best with no
small children in the house.
Cordelia could possibly coexist with
other cats but would not be a the right fit if you were looking a
friend or playmate for your existing feline friends. A calm, cat
friendly dog in the house would probably be okay but high energy dogs
or dogs looking to play may be too much for her to successfully come
out of her shell and be the wonderful companion she could be. If you
think Cordelia would be a good fit in your home, come and meet her
