You've definitely heard this saying before: Adopt Don't Shop.

There is a long list of people who support this slogan and now you can officially add Coors Light to that list.

The very successful beer brand just announced that they will cover adoption fees across the country until February 21st.

***This came a day after Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman, Derrick Nnadi, paid for adoptions at a Kansas City shelter. Looks like Coors Light one-upped him.

I gotta give it to Coors....their reasoning for this campaign is kind of cute.

“Cuffing Season is a major cultural trend and poses tension for our younger drinkers, as they navigate the stress of finding someone to spend the cold months with,” said Chelsea Parker, Marketing Manager at Molson Coors. “With almost half of millennials planning to stay in on Valentine’s Day, we wanted to help empower people to savor the day with Coors Light and a dog by their side.”

So here are the specifics.

They will cover up to $100 in fees for 1,000 dog adoptions that occur throughout the USA. To be eligible for this offer, the adopter must be at least 21 years old.

If you do adopt a furry friend, text "COORS4k0" and a picture of your new furry family member to 28130.

Coors Lights representatives will review all of the messages sent in and the first 1,000 eligible participants that apply will be reimbursed $100 for their adoption fee.
