Two fisherman are safe following a Coast Guard rescue in Great Egg Harbor, east of Somers Point.

The Coast Guard says it received a call at 11:30 Friday morning about a 16-foot boat taking on water with two people aboard.

A Coast Guard helicopter, on a training flight, was able to arrive at the scene at 11:50am. Officials say they were able to lower a rescue swimmer down, and then hoist the two men up.

Everyone is safe, and there were no injuries.
