Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.
If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters. All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.
This week we met Chico the dog....
Here is some information on Minnie from the Humane Society of Ocean City:

Chico is a male Schnauzer mix who is 3 years old.  Chico weights 14 pounds and he enjoys doing whatever you are doing! walking, playing, snoozing, cuddling... Chico just wants to be with you! He is an energetic guy, who will need a couple good walks each day

Chico came to the HSOC as a stray doggie, his hair was filthy and matted and he was a scared little guy. Even so he immediately reached out to handlers for affection and bonding, as he is a friendly and outgoing guy. He is patient and responds well to request.

Chico's primary needs are a home of moderate to low activity and lots of consistent company. He can get anxious when left alone and would benefit greatly from having almost constant companionship. He may be reactive with certain dogs (meet n greets are required and by appt. only) and cats are unknown, but probably okay. He is gentle, tolerant, and playful and likely would be okay with children ~6 years and up (visit depending)."
