Congratulations to one of South Jersey's local treasures, Cape May Zoo, on being named the best zoo in New Jersey by Reader's Digest.  Of course, we already knew that!

In their "Best Zoo in Every State in America" feature, Readers Digest chose Cape May Zoo saying...

The number of acres: 200. The number of animals: over 550. Cost of entry: Worth it. Nothing makes for a better day trip than the exciting (and free!) Cape May County Park & Zoo. Open every day except Christmas, this zoo boasts favorites such as the ring-tailed lemur family, magnificent snow leopards, and endangered red pandas. The reptile and amphibian house are also worth a walk-through for brightly-colored poisonous tree frogs.

Operating since 1978, Cape May Zoo, part of Cape May Park, on Rt. 9 in Cape May Court House, has previously been voted 13th best zoo in the world and the 5th best zoo in the United States in TripAdvisor's Traveler's Choice 2015. TripAdvisor also named the zoo the 3rd best in the nation in 2012.

Here's a fun video of "Caddo," the bobcat playing with her new toy at Cape May Zoo...
