Cape May Police Investigate Incident of Car Going Over 100 MPH

Cape May Police are asking for help from anyone with information about an incident concerning an automobile that was traveling at over 100 miles per hour Sunday morning, June 7 on Sunset Blvd.

The vehicle involved was an orange McLaren and the driver was subsequently arrested, according to a Facebook post by Cape May Police.

Police are looking for witnesses that observed the vehicle driving or parking in the Sunset Beach parking area around 9 a.m. on June 7. The highest posted speed on Sunset Blvd is 45 mph.

McLaren is a British automobile company known for making extremely fast and expensive cars. The least expensive model, the McLaren 570 S, goes from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 204 miles per hour. The 570 model sells for more than $180,000.
