Looks like it was a very good summer on the beach for the city of  Cape May.According to the Press of Atlantic City, beach tags sales were up over 16 % from last summer.  Officials from Cape May are pointing to the outstanding weather, a late Labor Day weekend and an increase in beach tags from 2014. The beach tags brought in over $2.4 million dollars in revenue for the city.

Revenue loses were also reported because of the program to give out free tags to  veterans and active-military personnel. Smaller increases were also posted for parking and room taxes.

The beaches in Cape May also made news this summer for making the list as one of the 10 best beaches for families in the entire country and the best place in New Jersey to have a romantic weekend.
