Every Thursday morning at 7:15am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

All of the animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped before adoption. All animals also receive an Alumni Card which entitles them to a 10% lifetime discount for veterinary services at the Humane Society of Ocean City clinic.

This week we met Brodie the dog…

Here is some information on Brodie from the Humane Society of Ocean City:

“Brodie is a 2.5 year-old male Hound/Akita mix. He is a large fellow, weighing in at 81 pounds and has a great disposition. He is Intelligent, attentive, and playful. Brodie already knows several commands well, including sit, down, and stay. He is both people and dog friendly, but NO CATS.

He walks nicely on a leash with an appropriate collar, and plays well also, though sometimes he forgets his size and thinks he is a lap dog! Brodie is looking for a home with experienced dog owners who are active but not busy. Older kids should be fine (13 and up), visit depending. Dog meet n greets are required and by appt. only.

If you’re looking for a big lug of a snuggle-buddy to share adventures with Brodie, please stop in or call the HSOC today! "
