If you still have your Christmas tree, chances are you are planning to get rid of it this weekend. Here's something to keep in mind if you're looking to help the environment when tossing out your tree.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, the city of Brigantine is collecting Christmas trees to reload and restock their dunes. Christmas trees are on the top of the city's list for replenishment of their dunes.

You can drop off your Christmas tree at 36th Street and Bayshore avenue in Brigantine until the end of this month. Last Christmas, the city used between 2,000 and 3,000 trees to replenish between 5 and 10 dunes.
