Linwood Police report that a deadly accident happened early Sunday morning, April 10 between a motor vehicle and a bicyclist.

According to a Facebook post, at about 12:01 am Sunday, Linwood Police received a 911 call concerning a motor vehicle accident. Officers responding to the intersection of Ocean Heights Avenue and Wabash Avenue were able to determine that a motor vehicle had hit a bicyclist. The Linwood bike patch runs adjacent to this intersection.

The bicyclist died at the scene from the injuries sustained in the crash. Police have not identified the person on the bicycle.

Linwood Police say they are still investigating this accident and no further information was available as of noon on Sunday.

The investigation is being conducted by Officer Brandon Settle and Lieutenant Chester Brown of the Linwood Police, in conjunction with the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office.
