Every Thursday morning at 7:10am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City brings in the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Bender the dog...

Here is some information on Bender from the Humane Society of Ocean City:

"Bender is a 3-year old chihuahua mix. He was found as a stray on the streets.

At one point he fractured his hind leg and it was not treated so it healed crooked. It doesn’t bother him but he does run on three legs sometimes as this was how he adapted while healing.

Bender is an active dog and would do well regular walks. He would like a home with older kids since he is so small and we wouldn’t want a child to trip over or fall on him."

If you would like to visit Bender or need more information about any animal up for adoption at The Humane Society of Ocean City, call 609-398-9500 or stop in any day between 11a-3p.

To adopt from the HSOC you will need one form of identification, which includes your name, permanent address and proof of ownership (i.e., localtax stub). If you rent, written approval from your landlord is required as well as personal identification.
