But this good news is just too good for me to hold in!

Governor Phil Murphy has stated that he expects all of New Jersey's beaches to reopen by Memorial Day!!!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

So far, the opening of beaches and boardwalks has been left up to each individual town.

Now of course, there will be some restrictions because things aren't going to go back to normal immediately but I will take it.

“I will be shocked if our beaches are not open, but with very specific guidance, just as we opened county and state parks,” he said in a Thursday night interview. He added that residents “should expect we’ll give guidance on beaches before Memorial Day.”

Some of the restrictions that are expected is that parking will be limited to 50% capacity and visitors must remain at least 6 feet apart. Not exactly what we want but it is totally doable so we can have a SUMMER at the Jersey Shore this year.

Murphy also hinted that curbside service for non-essential businesses could return soon along with construction and elective surgery.

I know these passed two month have been LONG but this is a very good sign.

We are not going to flip a switch and return back to "normal" but the fact that our public officials are even discussing these next steps means we are on our way.

Now let's all go bathing suit shopping so we are ready to go to the beach!!
