Atlantic County Firewood Program Provides Wood at a Big Discount

Cooler weather will be here soon and the annual Atlantic County Homeowners Firewood Program will help to provide those in Atlantic County and other local residents with an inexpensive source of wood to supplement their firewood supplies.

The firewood program runs annually from October 1st until March 31st.

The cost of the permit for cutting firewood is $25 per “vehicle load”. There is a non-refundable $5 process fee that is included in the cost. Permits can be completed prior to cutting firewood at the designated office at the Lake Lenape Boathouse, 6303 Old Harding Hwy, Mays Landing.

A "vehicle load" is any vehicle, trailer, or combination of the two that is holding (1) ton of firewood.

If the wood supply allows, there may be an opportunity to obtain up to a maximum of (3) permits per individual, annually. see the Atlantic County website for complete program details or call 609-625-8219.
