The frigid winter of 2014 continues with temps struggling to get out of the teens during the day and dropping to single digits at night. The wind chills will make if feel more like below zero. The frigid weather will increase the demand for electricity. Atlantic City Electric is asking you to try and conserve energy by following these simple tips:

If your health isn't a factor, set thermostats lower than usual.

Use major electric appliances such as stoves, dishwashers and clothes dryers during the midday hours or  after 9 p.m., when the demand for electricity isn't as great.

Turn off electric lights and appliances that are not in use.

Conserving electricity for the next couple of days will help ensure adequate power supplies to keep everyone warm.
