Cops in Atlantic City say a fight between two brothers resulted in one of them being arrested and charged on weapons and gun offenses.

The scene unfolded around 2:00 Monday afternoon when, according to a press release, Atlantic City police officers responded to the first block of South Elberon Avenue in reference to a fight between two brothers, ages 16 and 19.

Officers at the scene learned that the 16-year-old had recently been seen with a gun. A search warrant for the home was obtained and inside, detectives found, "two handguns, a high capacity magazine, hollow point ammunition, more than five grams of cocaine, and almost two pounds of marijuana."

The 16-year-old man from Atlantic City was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a minor, possession of a weapon while committing a CDS offense, possession of a “ghost gun,” possession of a high capacity magazine, possession of hollow-point ammunition, two counts of possession of CDS, two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The teen was remanded to Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center in Egg Harbor City.

Authorities remind the public that charges are merely accusations and the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty.
