Cumberland County reported its first death from COVID-19 Wednesday.

Cumberland County Health Officer Megan Sheppard said a Bridgeton resident, who had suffered from underlying health concerns, died in the hospital. No other information was released about the coronavirus victim.

Cumberland County now has one dead and three confirmed cases.

The Cape May County Department of Health reported three new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, bring the total to nine: a 60-year-old female, a 54-year-old female and a 19-year-old female.

Avalon, Cape May City, Lower Township, Ocean City, Sea Isle City and Upper Township each have a case of coronavirus. Middle Township has three confirmed cases, according to the health department.

The Atlantic County Division of Public Health announced Wednesday that two more residents have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing Atlantic County's total to nine.

Statewide, New Jersey now has 4,402 cases of coronavirus and 62 deaths.
