Every Thursday morning at 7:10am on the Lite Rock Morning Show, the Humane Society of Ocean City introduces the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.

If you are thinking about adding a pet to your family, please consider adopting from the Humane Society of Ocean City, a no-kill shelter recognized as one of the nation’s top ten animal shelters.

This week we met Angie the cat...

Here's some information on Angie from the Humane Society of Ocean City...

"Angie is a beautiful, sleek black cat that is almost 8 years old. Her and her housemate were dropped off at the shelter in June of 2020.

Her sister has since been adopted but Angie is still here. We know there’s always been a stigma against black cats but we just don’t get it. Angie would love a quiet home to live in.

She has this cute/bad habit (depending on who’s side you’re on) of licking people like a dog when she’s comfortable with them. If you don’t mind sitting on the couch at night, watching tv, getting “groomed” by this wonderful girl then please set up a time to meet her!

Please contact one of our adoption counselors for more information. All cats are up to date with vaccines and have been spayed or neutered. The HSOC also provides each pet adopted by us with a 10% lifetime discount to our veterinary center."
