A collision between two vehicles traveling westbound on the Expressway near Atlantic City Saturday night caused a much larger accident, when one of the vehicles dislodged the concrete median barrier pushing it in to the east bound lanes.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, "the crash caused a rollover of a Ford F150 truck driven by Keren Kessner, 40, of Monroe Township, Middlesex County after colliding with a Hyundai Elantra driven by Mara Freeman, 50 of Mays Landing....Kessner’s truck then struck the concrete median barrier, overturned and dislodged the barrier and it was thrown into traffic traveling in the eastbound lanes of the Expressway."

Can you imagine driving down the expressway and the concrete median suddenly comes out on the road in front of you?

In the report by the Press of Atlantic City, six cars headed eastbound were involved in a chain reaction crash caused by the median.

Kessner suffered a fractured leg and was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus in Atlantic City.  There were no other injuries caused by the crash.

Freeman was issued a summons at the scene of the crash.
