YouTube views of Foreigner songs total almost five hundred million, and the band’s recordings are constantly featured in movies and TV shows all over the world.

In 2013 Mick Jones and original lead singer Lou Gramm were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Mick Jones admits his vision for the band was to “combine Blues and R&B and make it sound soulful and authentic.” He cites influences from English music as well as American country music as inspiration for Foreigner’s unique sound.
