The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the fatal shooing of a man Friday night in Atlantic City.

Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon Tyner says just before 9:30pm Friday, Atlantic City Police were called out to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Pacific Avenue.

Tyner says police found a 25-year-old man on the street, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the man's identity.

An investigation is being conducted by the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office and the Atlantic City Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit.
