A woman whose body was found in a laundry basket in an Atlantic City condominium complex early Sunday has been identified.

Various published reports say family friends have identified the woman as Crystal "Maria" Guzman-Morales, a Salem-County mother of two young boys.

Gusman-Morales, who lived and worked in Penns Grove was in her late 20s and family believed she was at a Halloween party in Atlantic City on Saturday., according to nj.com.

"We are all very much heartbroken over this whole situation," Joie Stefan, a friend of Guzman-Morales said in an email to NJ Advance Media.

6abc is reporting they were told by a guest at the Atlantic Palace, a condominium and hotel complex at New York Avenue and the boardwalk that the woman fell down the laundry chute.

"She came from the 28th floor all the way to the bottom of the shoot. That's all he told us... Her dress she had on was all ripped apart, but they weren't sure if it came from her going down the laundry chute or if it was before."

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said the woman's death was still under investigation Monday, but would not confirm her identity.

A spokesperson for Atlantic Palace said the building is safe and secure and claims the woman's death was an accident.
