The new Revel Casino may roll the dice on making the entire casino non-smoking. The Press of Atlantic City is reporting that the much anticipated new casino addition to Atlantic City's Boardwalk,... set to open on May 15th, may buck the local trend in favor of the completely smoke-free casino model gaining popularity elsewhere.

If you've been around town for awhile, you remember that Atlantic City was trail-blazer (maybe a little too ahead of our time) when it came to restricting smoking in the casinos back in the still profitable days of 2008. That was later amended to allow smoking in 25% of the casino gaming space, because of concerns about losing the smokers as customers.

Revel Executives have yet to give their official policy on smoking, but it would seem that if ever there was a time to try banning the butts completely, it would be when you have the clout of being the biggest business opening the town has seen in about ten years.

So, what do you think?  Please vote in the poll and leave your comments on smoking in Atlantic City casinos below.
