Wife of A.C. Cop Injured in Robbery Gives Birth

Can you imagine the range of emotions the Vadell family has experienced recently? Just two weeks after Atlantic City Police officer Joshlee Vadell was shot in the head while trying to stop a robbery, his wife Laura has given birth to a baby.

According to Laura Vadell's Facebook page, she gave birth to a baby girl, Lucy, on Monday. The couple have two other young daughters.

Josh Vadell overcame the odds to survive the injuries he received during that late-night robbery on Sept. 3, but he still faces a long road to recovery.

Last Thursday, Sept. 15, Vadell was released from AtlantiCare's city campus and taken by ambulance to a re-hab facility. Doctors are hopeful that he can make a full recovery..

A GoFundMe page set up to benefit Vadell has raised over $113,000.
