Speeding on our roadways is the route of many problems, including your safety and the safety of others. Speeding also increases your chances of being involved in a serious or even fatal accident.

According to the National Highway Highway Traffic Safety Administration, speeding was a contributing factor in 27% of all fatal crashes.

My daily commute puts me on the Garden State Parkway every single day, and every day I see drivers speeding passed me going 80 - 90 MPH.

NJ.com has just put out a list of what counties in our state were issued the most speeding tickets. The counties were also ranked. According to the report, over 200,000 speeding tickets were issued statewide including the GSP, NJ Turnpike and Atlantic City Expressway.

Atlantic County ranked 15th on the list with 5,437 summons issues in 2017, while Cape May County came in at # 19 with 1,868 tickets given out.

Bergen and Monmouth counties came in second and third respectively and #1 on the list was Middlesex County with over 13,000 summons issued!

Hey everyone, as a general rule of thumb, it's always a good idea to drive safely and obey the speed limit.
