WEEKEND HAPPENINGS: Hayrides, Beach Sweeps, Lighthouse Challenge & More

Let's begin with the scary and the not-so-scary Halloween attractions  shifting in to high gear this weekend around South Jersey. There's something seasonal to fit every age; from the innocent fun of farm-picking pumpkins to the white-knuckled freights at the Junkyard of Terror! I think I may have bought a used muffler at that place once. Anyway, here's a good re-cap of all the Halloween Happenings.

- South Jersey beach Sweeps: This Saturday volunteers with gather at beaches across the Garden State to help keep our beaches clean. Volunteers will be ready at over 70 locations with gloves and trash bags picking up litter on our beaches.Volunteers are needed. See more information

- Lighthouse Challenge: Try to climb the stairs New Jersey's 11 land-based lighthouses including Absecon Lighthouse in Atlantic City and Hereford Lighthouse in North Wildwood this Saturday and Sunday
