Weekend Happenings: Fireworks, Parades + Patriotic Concerts
The 4th of July Holiday weekend is finally here. Independence Day will be celebrated in Atlantic and Cape May counties with dazzling firework displays, parades and plenty of live patriotic music.Here's a rundown of some of the Weekend Holiday Happenings.
Fireworks: Most displays begin at dusk unless otherwise noted. Display times and locations are subject to change without notice.
Margate: Saturday, July 4 at Huntington Avenue Beach Area, 9 p.m.
Atlantic City: Friday, July 3- Beach and Boardwalk at 9:30 p.m and Saturday July 4th at the Marina District.
Avalon: Saturday, July 4th at the Avalon Community Hall, 3oth Street.
Cape May: Saturday, July 4th at the Beach Front, Beach Ave
Lower Township: Friday July 3rd at The Bayfront in North Cape May at 9 p.m. Located between Lincoln and Emerson Blvd.
Ocean City: Saturday, July 4th on the boardwalk starting at 10 PM.
Stone Harbor: Saturday, July 4th at the Stone Harbor Recreation, 81st street and First Avenue.
Wildwood: Saturday, July 4 at the Beach at Pine Avenue statring at 10 p.m.
Galloway: The parade starts in Historic Smithville at 9 AM and will make its way down to Smithville Boulevard. The parade will wrap up at the Village Greene around noon.
Wildwood: The Independence Day and Patriotic Pooch Parades will begin at 9 a.m. at 9th and Atlantic Avenues in North Wildwood.
Ocean City: The Garden Civic Assoication Prade will begin at the Longport Bridge parking lot and travels down through the Gardens.
The Bay-Atlantic Symphony will be performing in Avalon on Saturday, July 4th inside Avalon Community Hall, 3001 Avalon Ave starting at 7 PM. Get there early for seating. Fireworks will follow the show at the 30th street bridge.
The Philly Pops Orchestra will be live in Wildwood at Fox Park on Saturday, July 4th starting at 8:30 PM.
The Atlantic Pops Orchestra will be live in Sea Isle City on Saturday, July 4th at the Excursion Park Band Shell, JFK Boulevard and the Promenade.Shell. The concert starts at 7:30 PM.
