Watch: Six Flags Great Adventure Marks 2016 Opening Weekend with Adorable Animal Cubs

You know summer is right around the corner when Six Flags Great Adventure first opens!

They have a lot planned for their opening weekend event, including the debut of adorable animal cubs!

Great Adventure will kick off their opening weekend on Wednesday, March 23rd. The park will then remain open for "Spring Break" through April 3rd. After that, it will generally be open on weekends only until Memorial Day Weekend, when the park will be open daily for the summer season. All the rides and coasters will be open, but the real stars of the show will be found on the Safari Off-Road Adventure.

Visitors will be able to see the trio of animal cubs born over the winter for the first time!

Back in January, we introduced you to Zuri and Nadya, two lion and tiger cubs being raised together. Now, they're also joined by Baily, a brown bear cub, who was born in January in need of medical assistance.

The trio are being housed at Camp Aventura, the section of the Safari tour where guests can get off the vehicle and check out the animals. That means that you'll be able to see the little ones up close and personal (at least until they are introduced to their respective species throughout the safari later in the season)

Also planned for opening weekend is the Easter celebration presented by PEEPS on Saturday, March 26th. There's entertainment, games, and giveaways planned AND the first 100 kids (toddlers to age 12) to arrive by 9 am will receive be able to participate in an Easter egg hunt to search for eggs filled with PEEPS!
