New Jersey State Troopers saved a man's life on Tuesday using CPR and the dramatic events were captured on video for us to witness.

According to a Facebook post by the NJ State Police, Troopers Michael Basti and Zachary Andren were dispatched to a 911 call for a Hunterdon County man who suffered a medical episode and collapsed.

When troopers arrived, they found the man lying on the floor unconscious and not breathing.

The troopers discovered the man had no pulse and immediately began CPR. With assistance from EMS, the troopers continued chest compressions and provided oxygen using a bag valve mask.

The troopers and EMTs continued CPR while an automated external defibrillator (AED) was used to deliver three shocks. After several rounds of CPR, the man regained a pulse.

He was then moved to an ambulance while Tpr. Basti continued to provide oxygen. A short time later, he began to breathe on his own.

Luckily for the victim, Trooper Basti is a New Jersey EMT and New York City paramedic and Trooper Andren is a volunteer fireman. Their training and experience as troopers and first responders undoubtedly helped save the man's life.
