Tropicana Latest Atlantic City Casino to Be Sold

The Tropicana Casino and Resort is the latest Atlantic City casino to be sold in 2018.

The Press of Atlantic City reports the total overall value of the deal is $1.85 billion. The Tropicana is the second Atlantic City property to be sold by owner Carl Ichan.

The Tropicana deal is with Eldorado Resorts Inc. and Gaming and Leisure Properties Inc. According to the report, the Tropicana will remain open after the sale. The sale is expected to be finalized in the second part of 2018.

Eldorado Resorts owns over 20 properties through the U.S. Their headquarters are located in Reno, Nevada.

The summer season should be a new and exciting time for Atlantic City with the opening of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and The Ocean Resort Casino.
