Top 5 Gifts for Valentine’s Day 2015
The National Retail Federation just released a new report on what we're planning to spend on gifts for Valentine's Day.According to the report, consumers will spend an average of $142.31 this year on the one they love. Overall, over $18.9 million dollars will be spent this year of Valentine's gifts.
Here's a list of the Top 5 Valentine's Gifts for 2015.
5: A Romantic Night Out. 35% of those surveyed planned on taking their Valentine out to dinner. The avergae spent was over $77 dollars. It might be a good idea to make those reservations now.
4: Greeting Cards. Over 51% plan on buying a romantic card.
3: Jewelry Only 21% will purchase some type of jewelry, but over $4.8 billion will be spent on that special Valentine's gift.
2: Flowers. Over $2.1 billion dollars will be spent on flowers. Valentine's roses are at the top of the list.
1: Candy. Over 52% plan on buying a box of choclates for their Valentine. On average men will shell out over $190.53 compared to women who will spend an average of $96.58.
