As of 10am this morning, Atlantic City and the city's casinos are officially open for residents to return and for business. According to Linda Gilmore, Atlantic County's Public information Officer, the mandatory evacuation order for Atlantic City has been lifted as of 10 AM this morning, as per Governor Christie.
Atlantic County casinos are powering up and will reopen shortly.
Residents may return to Atlantic City and the Atlantic City Expressway entrance into the city is once again accessible.
The mandatory evacuation remains in effect in VENTNOR due to continuing sewer system problems that prevent the system from operating at full capacity.
