It's ironic because everyone's always said "kids need to get outside and play more"-- but this South Jersey town is possibly doing the opposite of that.

Waterford Township, just outside of Williamstown, is putting a ban on portable basketball nets outside of resident's homes, according to Fox 29. The township has sent out letters to families, saying that neighbor complaints need to be addressed which has resulted in the ban of the kid's sporting activity.

The township is giving residents 10 days to comply, otherwise a court day and a fine may be issued. The argument is that the basketball nets impose safety issues for school buses, emergency vehicles and snow plows; Which has "led to enforcement of ordinance 176-74—banning basketball nets in public right of way."
