Things Everyone Should Know Before Moving to New Jersey
I'm proud to call New Jersey my home state. New Jersey is one of the prettiest states in the nation with beautiful beaches and lakes. There is also so much to do in our state including casinos, boardwalks, trails and so much more. Here are some things someone should know before making a move to the great Garden Sate.
- 1
The Best Pizza Anywhere
New Jersey is home to some of the best pizza in the whole world. From BBQ Chicken to Hawaiian, or just a plain slice, the choices are endless.
- 2
Award Winning Beaches
From Sand Hook to Cape May, New Jersey has over 130 miles of beautiful coastline, pristine beaches, barrier islands and beautiful bays.
- 3
Wawa Overload
The very first Wawa opened up in New Jersey back in 1968. Today, there are over 645 stores with many still right here in the Garden State. I absolutely love their hazelnut coffee!

The Jersey Devil
We even have our very own demon called the Jersey Devil. According to Wikipedia, the Pine Barrens in South Jersey are home to the state's most famous devil.
There have been numerous sighting over the years. I would probably be scarred for the rest of my life if I came in contact with the Jersey Devil.

Auto Insurance
No doubt about it, this will cost you in New Jersey. Sometimes I feel like I should get a part time job just to pay our insurance bill, which also includes my two boys.
- 6
Taxes, Taxes, and More Taxes
This item will make residents of New Jersey flee the state for good. New Jersey property taxes are one of the highest in the nation, with only New Your and Connecticut costing more.
My taxes always seem to go in the wrong direction, which makes it even more costly to live in our beloved state.

Traffic Circles
You'll need a good sense of direction when moving into Jersey and you'll have to deal with some of the worst intersections and dreaded jug handles. I still get thrown for a loop every time I have to go through the Tilton Circle on my way to the AC airport.
