Memorial Day is the unofficial start of the summer season. Memorial Day also has another meaning. 

Memorial Day is a time to remember the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Here's a list of some of the Memorial Day Parades in our area:

Northfield- The Parade line up begins at  9 am at Haddon Avenue and Broad Street. The Parade will run from the starting location down Shore Road to City Hall.

Linwood-   The Parade will start at Shore Road and the Masonic Temple at 10 a.m. The parade route runs to All Wars Memorial Park where there will be a ceremony. Music from the Mainland Regional High School Band.

Somers Point-   The Parade begins at 11 a.m. at the Dawes Avenue School.  The parade route  will proceed down Shore Road, ending at Patriots Park on Bethel Road.

Stone Harbor-  Parade and cermony begin at 12 noon. Starting point  Route 55 to Stone Harbor.
