The Stanley Cup Trophy is about to DO AC.  Lord Stanley's Cup, the championship trophy awarded annually to the National Hockey League playoff winner, and now under the control of NHL champs the Los Angeles Kings, is going to be on display in Atlantic City.

According to The Press of Atlantic City, the Cup will be on display July 17th and July 18th at Harrah's and casinos, respectively.

A pair of former Philadelphia Flyers will be accompanying the Cup to town.

Kings assistant coach and former Flyers head coach John Stevens and Kings forward Justin Williams, a Flyers player from 2000-2004,  who owns a home in Ventnor, are among a contingent of Kings players coming to Atlantic City to show off the Stanley Cup.

The players and the trophy will in the lobby at Harrah's on July 17th at 3:30pm and in the lobby at Caesars on Friday, July 18th at 4pm.

Since it's been 40 years since the Flyers have won the Stanley Cup, you might want to make the most of this local opportunity to see the Cup while it is in town!
