Go back in time to the days of Gatsby, gangsters and flappers at the Prohibition Party from 7-10pm Friday, Jan. 29 at the Knife and Fork Inn, benefiting the Margate Education Foundation.

Come dressed to impress in your best Roaring Twenties fashions and join me, Eddie Davis from the Lite Rock Morning Show, as your host for a fun night with great food and drink and table gaming.

What better place for our big Prohibition Party than Atlantic City's famous Knife and Fork Inn, an actual prohibition-era speakeasy for local political boss Enoch “Nucky” Johnson and his buddies until federal agents decided to crack down, and, in true roaring twenties style, entered and destroyed all of its contents. Those Feds sure knew how to ruin a party!

All proceeds from the Prohibition Party will benefit the Margate Education Foundation, an independent community-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of education in and providing positive support for the Margate Public Schools.

The MEF’s purpose is dedicated to encouraging community-wide participation and philanthropy in order to enhance and expand enrichment opportunities of all students of the Margate City School District and the community at large.

So come get your game on! All the money the house earns will all be donated to the Margate Education Foundation.

Winners will get some hot prizes, including overnight stays, JCC membership and more. Don’t worry, even those down on their luck won't be losers, with chances win free homework passes or the chance to be Principal for the day.

Single tickets are $60 or $100 for a couple. Get tickets now @ mef@margateschools.org or call 609-412-4400 for details.
