Bell, a ten year-old calico cat is the new Lite Rock Pet of the Week.  Bell was surrendered to the Humane Society of Ocean City when her family had to move to a n0n-pet friendly home.

Here's what I just learned... about calico cats.  Calico is not a breed, it's a color pattern. To be called "calico", three colors must be present: black, white and orange. Variations of these colors include gray, cream and ginger. And most calico cats are female.  Coat color in cats is a sex-linked trait.

Bell is a sweetheart who would adapt nicely in a home with children and/or other animals.  An older cat such as Bell often has a harder time being adopted, but please consider making Bell a part of your family.  She's in good shape and has plenty of life left!

Take a look at other available Lite Rock Pets of the Week and listen for Kevin from the Humane Society of Ocean City to bring in a new pet every Thursday at 8:15 a.m. on the Lite Rock Morning Show.
