The Heat Wave Continues in South Jersey
According to the National Weather Service temperatures will rise well into the 90's for the next couple of days as the Heat Wave for the summer of 2012 continues. The heat index will be close to 100! Atlantic City Electric is asking all customers to conserve energy even though it expects power supply in the region to be sufficient to meet the expected high demand.
Here are some tips From AC Electric on how to conserve energy:
Setting your air-conditioning thermostat to 78 degrees and using an electric fan, which require less energy.
Limiti your use of electrically heated water and turn of non-essential utilities and lights.
Limit the opening of your refrigerator and freezer door.
Use high-energy appliances like, electric stoves, washing machines, dryers and dishwashers until the evening.
