Dozens of new and innovative businesses pop up all the time all over New Jersey's 21 counties. Recently, a new list was released containing the hot spots for small businesses all over our beloved Garden State.

According to NJ.com, the Small Business Administration gave out $869 million in loans to small businesses throughout New Jersey in 2017, which set a new record for the amount of loans given out.

  • Atlantic County ranked #16 for new business with $16.8 million granted for loans.
  • Cape May County did just a bit better coming in at # 14 with $31.7 granted for loans.

The top 3 counties in New Jersey were Union, Middlesex and Bergen County (#1) with over $136 million dollars granted for small businesses owners in the northern part of our state.

I always try to shop and support small local business owners especially during the holidays which will be here in no time!

FYI: Small Business Saturday is November 25th this year. Don't forget to shop small and support local businesses in South Jersey!
