We visited Gina DeMaio's class at ACIT on Friday to bring a pizza party for winning Lite Rock's Teacher of the Month award for December.

Gina DeMaio teaches the Medical Assisting program at Atlantic County Institute of Technology in Mays Landing and runs the HOSA and CIE and Apprenticeship programs for the school.

Mrs. DeMaio was nominated by her student Deanne DeClementi for her dedication to her students over her 21-year tenure at ACIT!

Her 25 students are preparing to begin their internships, where they will spend much of their final high school semester getting practical experience in their chosen areas of the medical field.
The students were welcoming and mature and passionate about their studies and it was a pleasure to spend time with them. They were fortunate to have an excellent teacher like Mrs. DeMaio, and we are lucky they have decided to spend their lives in service to us.
As our Lite Rock Teacher of the Month, Mrs. DeMaio won a membership to Island Gym. Her nominating student, Deanne DeClementi could be the winner of a $2000 scholarship from Lite Rock.

Special thanks to Carluccio's Coal Fire Pizza in Northfield for the delicious pizza!

Put in a nomination and tell us about a teacher in South Jersey you think deserves to be the Lite Rock Teacher of the Month, then listen for more weekdays on the Lite Rock Morning Show with Eddie Davis.
