A nationwide study has just named Spirit the country's most affordable airline. Spirit also finished ranked second in the study's overall findings of "Best Airlines."
A preliminary report from the National Transportation Safety Board shows that a Spirit Airlines plane had a ground speed of over 100 mph when it aborted its takeoff at Atlantic City International Airport on Oct. 2.
They probably won't change their marketing slogan to "we are not the worst airline", but discount carrier Spirit Airlines has moved out of the basement in the most recent Airline Quality Rating report, according to The Motley Fool.
