Students Begin New Year in New School in Atlantic City

Atlantic City's brand new Richmond Avenue School opens for business for the first time on Wednesday, January 2nd, welcoming...students back to the school site for the first time since 2009.

The $25 million Richmond Avenue School features all the amenities of a modern-day learning facility, something the hundred-year old school that once occupied this site was sorely lacking.

The new Richmond Avenue School is 125,000 square foot building with a full-size gym, a media center, playground, and state-of-the art features like a science lab, computerized classrooms and, most importantly in the spring and summer, air conditioning!

Some 500 Atlantic City students, who had been being bused to the Brighton Avenue School during construction, begin 2013 in their beautiful new school building on Richmond Avenue.
