A man wanted for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend last month has been arrested by Atlantic City police.

On the afternoon of the 4th of July, the Atlantic City Police Department says Officer Ryan Kov arrested 38-year-old Robert Taylor while he was walking in the 1000 block of Pacific Avenue.

It was back on June 5th when Ofc. Kov responded to a stabbing call where Taylor allegedly stabbed his girlfriend during a domestic dispute and then fled before police arrived. Kov recognized Taylor from the investigation.

According to the ACPD, Taylor gave Ofc. Kov a fake name in an attempt to hinder his arrest. After being placed in custody, Taylor’s identification was found in his pocket.

Taylor, who lives in Atlantic City, has been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, and hindering apprehension. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
