Spirit Airlines, the low-cost no-frills airlines that flies out of Atlantic City Airport has long been whacked around in the media for bad decisions, bad pricing policies and more.

This time, they got it right.

Spirit Airlines has adopted a new baggage policy for active members of the military.

Spirit is offering passengers with an active military ID to check two bags for free, and a carry-on for free.

According to its website, the new policy was put into practice at the end of February.  "We are very pleased to take this step to honor the men and women who protect us every day," said Robert Fornaro, Spirit Airlines' President and Chief Executive Officer. "This is the right thing to do and the right time to implement this change."
