South Jersey Restaurant Bans Cell Phones
Welcome to No Tech Tuesday.
At this South Jersey restaurant you’re sure to get a great meal. The one thing you won’t be able to do is use your cell phone, play video games or even watch TV. According to CBS Philly, ‘No Tech Tuesday’s’ are now in effect at Sandi Point Coastal Bistro in Somers Point.
The idea is from owner Dan Anderson, who would rather you start a face-to-face conversation instead of using your cell phone. Anderson says not everyone is thrilled with the idea.
“I’ve been introduced to people and people haven’t looked up from their cell phone when they shake their hand to meet me,” Anderson said. “I’m not the President, but you would like to have a little eye contact, a ‘hello’ or something.”
A second ‘No Tech Tuesday’ is planned for next week.
I’ve been guilty of using my phone out while having dinner. Not watching TV would also be a tough one for me especially if there’s a game on.
Would you be able to get through dinner without using your phone or watching TV?
