South Jersey Food Critic Dies

A beloved food critic passed away yesterday after having dinner with friends at a restaurant in Hammonton.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, Ed Hitzel suffered fatal cardiac arrest while dining with friends at his favorite restaurant. Hitzel hosted his own local radio show "Hitzel’s Table for One" on WOND and WIP AM. He also  became editor of his own publication, "Ed Hitzel’s Restaurant Magazine” as well as working for the Press of Atlantic City.
