Is it me, or does it seem kind of early for Daylight Savings? Not that I'm complaining! I'll gladly give up a hour of sleep to gain an extra hour of daylight.

That's right, we officially spring ahead to Daylight Savings and move the clocks forward one hour this Sunday morning (3/11)  at 2 AM. Keep this in mind if you have a tendency to go out and have a good time, especially on Saturday nights.

According to LiveScience.com, Benjamin Franklin first thought of the idea to spring ahead back in 1784. DST first took place in the U.S. in 1918 to conserve energy due to the war. It was brought back in 1942 for WWII and finally became law, where all of the United States had enforced it, in 1966.

I love getting home and being able to do stuff outside, thanks to the extra hour of daylight. So, remember to move your clock forward one hour this weekend!
