March 1st was National Read Across America Day, held annually on or near the birthday of Theodor Geisel, better known... as Dr. Seuss.

Generations of Americans have grown up and learned to read on Dr. Seuss’ books, so his birthday was a logical time to celebrate reading and to promote the love of reading with your kids!

In commemoration of the day, and because I love to read, I went out to read to classes of students at South Jersey schools including Slaybaugh Elementary School in Egg Harbor Township .

The group of students at the Slaybaugh School were made up of second and third graders who were also very interested in hearing about the radio station and how things work on the Lite Rock Morning Show.

Here is a little audio from my visit to Slaybaugh School in EHT.
