Show Us Your Shoes! Miss America Pageant, Parade Details Released

For the first time since 2005, the Miss America Pageant is returning to its rightful home in Atlantic City, and now we know... this year's Pageant dates.

The famed Pageant, which originated here in 1921, returns to Atlantic City Sunday, September 15th, broadcast to a national Television audience on ABC TV.

The Miss America festivities will run 13 days and include three days of preliminary competitions at Boardwalk Hall and the beloved "Show Us Your Shoes" parade on the Atlantic City Boardwalk Saturday, September 14th.

Gov. Chris Christie made the announcement about this year's Pageant schedule during a trip to South Jersey Wednesday for a New Jersey tourism forum.
